GlobeTel Communications Corp. is a Delaware corporation headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. During 2007 and into the current year, the Company has sharply refined its operating model -- focusing on the opportunities associated with the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) market.
We shed unprofitable businesses, eliminated unnecessary spending, pared down our headcount to only the most crucial and focused on bringing only the most beneficial relationships and resources into our Company. Today's GlobeTel is leaner and more disciplined, with a more precise definition of its core competency.
Sanswire our Airship division is focused on using various energy sources including the natural energy of the sun. Emissions-free vehicles, some of which are envisioned to keep their stations in the stratosphere for 18 months at a time, are reliant on solar energy to power both the engines and payloads. The earlier and current work of our Sanswire subsidiary coupled with current activities undertaken by Stuttgart-based technology partner TAO, give us a competitive advantage in understanding storage and distribution issues tied to this vital energy source.
Two years ago, the Company experienced a string of hardships which caused it to fall out of compliance with the rules of its former exchange and regulators. However, we have since restated annual results and are concluding the restatement process, along with becoming current on all regulatory filings.
